The SELC conducted it's fall organizational meeting at Emory University in Atlanta on Sunday, Sept. 17th. NC State and Florida were unanimously elected the conference and will compete for a newly formed Division 2 championship this Spring along with league veterans Alabama, The Citadel, and South Carolina. The 2001 SELC Championships will return to Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, TN next April. Steve Borash of Florida State University was also elected to the SELC Executive Board as the new Player Rep.
