Attackman Jason Lewin and midfielder Andy Frick from Tennessee and Auburn defenseman Matt Bazar made the first team.
The All USLIA Second Team included Tennessee midfielder Pete Angelone and defenseman Tyler Coleman.
Third team members include attackman Chet Randall from Virginia Tech, midfielder Jordan Walter also from Virginia Tech, Auburn midfielder Matt Garibaldi, Virginia Tech defenseman Ernie Lemmert and goalie Ben Gogol.
Receiving Honorable Mention honors were Aaron Ferguson, attackman from Auburn, midfielder Will Smith from Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech midfielder Aaron Connelly, Georgia midfielder Matt Resch, and midfielder Brian Chirigos from Emory.
Walter and Garibaldi are sophomores. Lewin, Bazar, Lemmert, Gogol, Smith, Connelly, and Chirigos are entering their junior seasons. Frick, Angelone, Coleman, Randall, Ferguson, and Resch will be completing their collegiate careers as seniors in 2001.
The SELC's 15 team members ranked third among USLIA conferences in players selected to the team. The West Coast Lacrosse League (WCLL) and Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL) led with 18 players honored. Brigham Young, defending national champions, placed 3 players on the first team, followed by California, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas A&M with 2 each.
