May. 2nd, 2002 - 2002 Pioneer League Awards
Easton, MA - The Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL) announced their 2002 All-League Teams this past weekend. These players were voted on by team representatives at the league meeting at Stonehill College during Championship Weekend. Also voted on were the 2002 PCLL Rookie of the Year, PCLL Most Valuable Player, and PCLL Coach of the Year. Both the Rookie and Coach of the Year came from Bridgewater State College (2002 PCLL Central Conference Champions) as Freshman Jeff Orifice and Coach Dan Warren earned those twoe honors. For League MVP, Whitney Watts (Rhode Island) earned the honor for the third straight year. Watts led the PCLL in scoring for the 2002 season.
